Number twenty-two in a series.
Interview after the jump.
- What's your secret to staying so beautiful?
I keep a copy of In Style magazine next to my toilet. - Is it true what the tabloids are saying about your relationship?
Darling, I've never even met Karl Rove. - This new project of yours is certainly taking everyone by surprise. Tell us about it.
I don't know why everyone's so surprised that I can write. What am I? An idiot? Anyway, I am excited about the upcoming workshop production of my play My Deah, the Medea legend set in The South. We have excellent actors, an excellent director and a great design team. The play is being done in one of the "hot" but "gritty" neighborhoods in New York. I'm not in it, but I hope to be at every performance. And it's only $19!!! If you want to read more about it, please go to my website, lypsinka.com, for more details and info.
Also, you should know that I'm in a movie premiering at The Tribeca Film Festival in late April. It's called Another Gay Movie. It's very silly and smart and has lots of skin in it. I play the wife of Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall). It opens nationwide in July. In May I return to San Francisco for the first time in 5 years at The Plush Room with my show The Passion of the Crawford. And speaking of Crawford, I did some work on the DVD re-issues of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? and The Hollywood Royalty Special Edition: Mommie Dearest, coming out in May and June. - Who are you wearing?
If you mean my pushup bra, I got it at the old Lili St. Cyr store on Santa Monica Boulevard. - Would you ever do a role that required nudity?
Only if Jayne Mansfield were my body double. And if you've never heard of Lili St. Cyr or Jayne Mansfield, that's what the internet and google are for!

My Deah is playing at The Abingdon Theatre on West 36th Street from April 21 through May 7. Don't worry, MO will be reminding you.
